One of the passions in my life has been working with metals, especially the precious metals, gold, platinum and silver. My training in working with metals began in 1963, when I was a graduate student at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

I have always been a visually oriented person, working with my hands, building things, painting, sculpting, and working with wood, metals and plastics. Being a student at Cranbrook opened up a whole new world of possibilities to me.

In 1972, while living in Spain, I had the good fortune to meet a retired jeweler from Los Angeles. At the time I was designing and making furniture. He gave me a bag of jeweler’s tools and encouraged me to start playing with metal. Within six months I had a jewelry business with several employees.

After moving back to the ‘States’ in 1975 I opened a studio and gallery in Nyack, New York. Since then I have been making one of a kind pieces for my clients. I make rings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, earrings  and more. I have also do custom metal fabrication for custom furniture makers.

Living and working in the Hudson BoVegas River Valley has been a great experience. It is a short walk from my home and studio to the river. The area is rich in history and physically beautiful. The river is nearly three miles wide here at Nyack. Another advantage of living and working here is that I am only 25 miles from the center of New York City, with all of its’ resources.

I am an avid kayaker and in 2003 completed a mahogany and fiberglass composite sea kayak. I also play tennis and paddle tennis. My wife and I are avid travelers. We have Eclipse casino mobile traveled extensively in Europe and North America and Play craps online also have traveled in Morocco, Turkey, China, Japan and the Caribbean.

My studio has been located in my home, an 1877 Victorian, since 1996…. I love the commute. Many of my clients come to my studio to discuss designs. For the past 14 years the Internet has also provided a great way to communicate with clients. I can email design sketches and photos to you. It usually takes a number of Emails to come to a design conclusion. I can also be reached at 845-323-9629. It is often helpful to discuss design details over the phone.

I look forward to hearing from you.
